WHAT'S NEW

We've moved to a new server. Please bookmark this page and delete your old Yavapai County bookmark. The old website is not being maintained and will be closed down on April 15, 2008.

1889 Map: Click on "County History" on the left to access an 1889 Yavapai County map showing lots of towns that no longer exist.

Was you relative a horse thief or worse? Check out the new link to Arizona's prison inmates by clicking on "Prisons" under "Site Links".

After being down for a while, most of this site has been rebuilt with a new look and improved organization.

The quintessential resource for Yavapai County data is the Sharlott Hall Museum located in Prescott. The Museum has a significant collection related to genealogy, some of which is accessed from this site. You can also access the Museum directly by clicking on this link: SHARLOT HALL MUSEUM.

Work is continuing on the Arizona Gravestone Photo Project. As of 30 May 2008, Yavapai County gravestone photos on line now number 25,200.

Obituary Links have been added to the Yavapai web site. Click on the "Obituary" link on the left side of this page. (2006-06-06)

If you're interested in Yavapai County genealogy or history, you may want to subscribe to the Yavapai County Mailing list.
