Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens
For Jay Sylvester's Eagle project, he chose to canvas the Lake Havasu City Cemetery.
He has generously given his permission to add his work
to the Mohave County AZGenWeb site.
Please read a little about Jay.
Jay is a 17-year old college student who has been wanting
to fulfill the requirements for his Scout Eagle Award since his early
childhood. He's a conscientious young man who has worked diligently in
fulfilling all the requirements necessary for this honor. He, along with his
scout and church leaders, have dedicated many hours in accomplishing this
goal of Eagle attainment. Jay's purpose in doing this specific work in
behalf of the Tombstone Project reflects Jay's desire to bring out the deeds
of past generations and to honor those who have gone before us. It was his
hope that this project would fuel society's hunger to know of their
ancestors and to allow the past to teach and to prepare today's generation
and younger people for the tasks facing them in today's world. For without
the past, there is little hope for the future. As Hugh B. Brown once said:
"Night never had the last word. The dawn is always invincible". It was with
this view of eternity, that Jay committed his time and efforts for this most
worthy of causes.

@2003 Jay Sylvester - Mohave AZGenWeb
The index is arranged alphabetically by Given name. While I
appreciate what Jay, Friends and Family have done, the current index is
confusing and not easy to search. In order to simplify searching for
possible family members, I have created a fully searchable pdf file.
The complete Index can be found here.
